During October, when it was one of my suite mate’s birthday, I made her apple cheddar scones. I really, really wanted to make her a cake, but that failed catastrophically. She said that she didn’t like sweet things in general, so I decided to go for a savory-sweet approach with the Apple Cheddar Scones. I have heard a lot about how apples go really well with cheddar, but I’ve never actually tried it. This recipe really does allow the two flavors to combine well and a delicious recipe.

I unfortunately did under bake these a little – I found it hard to determine doneness when she says “until its firm.” Also, the oven I use runs a little hot, it seems, so I didn’t want to over bake them. Still, they were delicious and my suite mate Natalie ate most of them. =D
