Last weekend, I saw a papaya at my local grocery store. I was so excited because I haven’t seen one since I left Taiwan, so I bought it. Come to think of it, I didn’t really know what to do with it. I had already let it ripen, so papaya salads were not really an option. My friend suggested papaya bread to me, which is like banana bread but using papaya instead. I browsed the internet for a suitable recipe. It was super fast and easy to make. The original is from here. I’m not going to bother reposting the recipe because its exactly the same. I used a 9×11 (or was it 13) inch pan, so its rather short.

The only problem was that the bread ended up tasting like pumpkin bread due to the cinnamon and possibly allspice… I would probably recommend omitting the cinnamon, although the taste of papaya is pretty hard to bring out.
